OVERVIEW/SUMMARY

EES provides mission-critical engineering support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, FAA's premier research and test facility, to facilitate the safety and efficiency of Air Traffic Control services on a nation-wide level. EES provides ongoing sustainment and evolution of the supporting infrastructure for the National Airspace System in multiple domain areas. We have immediate opening for entry-level position for highly-qualified candidates to serve as an apprentice/intern supporting FAA's Radar Surveillance ASR-9 Team.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with Mentor as an apprentice/trainee for development, assembly, and packaging of system upgrade modification kits.
  • Support installation of Operating System; assembly integration and checkout of Touch Panel computers and other electronic components using Electro Static Discharge (ESD) precaution.
  • Provide logistics support related to storage of parts/supplies that will be used in future installations and System Support Modifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • High School/College coursework related to systems engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of Personal Computer, Software, Hardware.
  • Experience providing customer support in a Team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions; good work ethic.
