EES provides mission-critical engineering support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, FAA's premier research and test facility, to facilitate the safety and efficiency of Air Traffic Control services on a nation-wide level. EES provides ongoing sustainment and evolution of the supporting infrastructure for the National Airspace System in multiple domain areas. We have immediate opening for mid-level position for highly-qualified candidates with subject matter expertise in web-based application development to support FAA's Flight Service and Weather Engineering Team.

  • Develop custom web applications including integration with SQL Server and Oracle DB.
  • Design and develop SharePoint solutions including applications, web parts, features, content types, and other SharePoint constructs using Microsoft Visual Studio for deployment on SharePoint Server 2013/2016.
  • Design, develop, implement, and/or enhance web-enabled applications using JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, HTML5, etc.
  • Work with customers at all levels of technical ability to assist with requirements elaboration, customization, and definition of SharePoint sites.
  • Customize COTS solutions to meet government customer needs and requirements.
  • Assist with SharePoint administration, future enhancements, service packs/updates and upgrades, and best practices for maintaining the environments.


  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development, administration and maintenance, Microsoft SQL Server database design and development, HTML 5/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies to document, test, implement, and support activities associated with SharePoint 2013/2016.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in various technologies, including C#, JavaScript, and Microsoft SharePoint Administration/Development.
  • Troubleshooting skills, critical thinking, and the ability to interact with users of all levels of expertise and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment or individually and unsupervised; while maintaining the confidentiality of information.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Designer for building customized site templates, lists, and workflows.
  • Experience with InfoPath form design and XML.
  • Experience with development using C#, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience working within the development lifecycle/methodology and working on systems integration/infrastructure.
  • Experience in SharePoint Server 2013.
  • Ability to tailor and customize services to implement and test web parts, forms, and workflow in SharePoint 2013, at a minimum.
